The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (Spoilers) - Comments

  • @ ace merrill.
I thought I got back to this, woops.

I went to go see it again on Saturday, and I really thought that I was gonna make it through without bawling, and I did really good up until Thorin's death. At that point I was like biting my lip to keep quiet because there were maybe five other people in the theater (which I guess was understandable, seeing as how it was a 10:30 a.m. showing), and I knew that I was the only one crying, and my stepdad even looked over and made a "Pfft..." noise.

He said that he almost cried at the end when we got home, but now he won't stop saying, "Thorin, look, the eagles are coming!" Like, listen here, jack ass, that isn't something to joke about.

"Why does it hurt so much?" "Because it was real."

Oh my god, I doubt I'll ever get over that.

The whole "Yesh" thing that Bilbo did when he first meets Thranduil, though, like... I love Martin Freeman so much, I'm still so glad he ended up getting the part. I couldn't imagine anyone else in his place.

  • OMG, I just saw the movie, and... I don't know. The way Fili died... that was so sudden, I wasn't ready for that and I seriously had no reaction but "what the fuck" ... their deaths.. was not how I imagined it would be... the way I saw it. UGH, I had the same reaction as you during Thorin's death though.

Kili, and Fili... I knew that since Tauriel was in the movie I knew that the deaths wouldn't be with them beside each other in battle, but I was pretty much shaking my head. LOL, not gonna lie though I cried when Tauriel was like, "why does it hurt so much." I think that Evangeline did an amazing job with that moment.

Dain was a badass, headbutting those helmets like it wasn't a huge deal.

I loved the movie, and some parts I felt like it was rushed. XD I don't know, it might be just me.
