    1. Yes!
    2. Uhhh, at the moment, writing the book, haha. But I've been looking into publishing options and mostly just researching Amazon self publishing etc. as well as getting aquainted with the local author's community in my city. I'm probably going the either the self publishing or indie publishing route at first, because as much as I think my book is the shit, I also have a feeling it's not very marketable for major publishers (but hey maybe my opinions will change on that.) I'd rather keep the rights to my book and promote it myself and sell a few copies, than give that up and still only sell a few copies (publishers don't market books as much as they used to, or so I've heard.)
    3. Not really? I'm over my fear of being really private about my writing since I've posted fanfiction that has gotten well received over the past few years. Also my hero Anne Rice personally gave me motivation and inspiration on a Facebook comment reply a while back when I commented I was apprehensive about publishing for reasons. It still means a lot to me. XP Plus indie/self publishing isn't so intimidating.

    1. I do, eventually.

    2. Right now I'm just trying to better my writing, and keep an eye out for publishing markets. I write poetry, not fiction, so I probably won't start with publishing a book--I'll work on getting individual poems published here and there in various places to make a name for myself, start performing to do the same, and then after a couple years of that assemble a chapbook or two.

    3. Not really, I suppose. I refuse to self-publish, because I want to make sure the quality of my writing is approved by people who know what they're doing first. =P So I know I'm going to face a lot of rejection before that happens, and I'm okay with that.

I also actually intend to go into the publishing industry for my career. Ideally I'd like to work on developmental editing for longer works of fiction (I don't really like writing fiction as much but I absolutely LOVE developmental editing for it, and I have read many a time that editors should not be writers anyway so I'd rather not edit the same genre I write). I'd also absolutely love to work on a literary magazine like the one my university's English department publishes (that I've been on for three years now and loved every moment). Those career goals come before getting published myself, to be honest.
