Yeah I have malware scanners and Adblock, and I still get the ads. I get them on my phone, too. It's been bugging me like crazy. I think it's a Mibba problem, though.

I have all sorts of ad blocks but it was happening to me CONSTANTLY starting three days ago on all of my devices. I signed in and out of them all a few times but it didn't seem to stop until today so I don't know why it's still happening on mine. I use safari and I have an adblocker and for some reason it wasn't catching any of them. It does seemed to have stopped now though, so it wasn't just you! haha

    Definitely helpful! :P

If you go to the Chrome store, you can install an adblock extension that will stop that from happening! It also conveniently blocks all other adds too!

    @ Don'tFearTheReaper
Unfortunetly, my chrome wasn't that smart! I just installed adblockers. It only took a minute & a couple buttons so it was just as easy! (Thank gosh!) & thank you!

I don't know if you've already gotten the answers that you need, but this happened nonstop to me two days ago. As it turned out, the sites that were trying to redirect me were actually phishing sites. After a few times this happened, Chrome figured it out and would redirect me to their "It's a trap" page. When the sites were able to get through, I reported it to Chrome's "reporting phishing" site. I haven't been bothered since. Again, I don't know if this helped, but I hope you're able to figure out the issue!

It happens to me all the time too. I even use Chrome and they still manage to redirect me at least once a day. Facepalm I don't understand how that even happens, but it does.

I found out that it's through Mibba, so I installed an adblock and it stopped! Thank you though. :)

Malware is kind of a small virus.
If it's still doing that then download malwarebytes do a scan and all of that, and it should stop. Don't worry it's completely safe! :)

Just install an ad block! It takes it all away! If you use chrome, go to the chrome store and type adblock in the search bar. It'll suggest one. Once it installs it'll ask you to pay an amount if you want, but you can just exit that page. It's installed either way.

If you have safari or something different, just google _____ (Browser) ad block. It should suggest the same exact adblock. Again it'll ask for a donation, but you can exit it. It'll still work!

Now that I know that this is a mibba thing, it's easy to block from happening!

    @ Sassenach
I use both depending, but I was just able to install an adblock for both & it seems to be working. :)

Okay, this is happening to me too. I clicked on an old blog of mine and it sent me to a weight loss ad.

Yeah that's the same URL for me! It's only happening for Mibba, but it's happening on both browsers (Chrome & Safari).

    @ Maleficent.
Thanks, I'm going to try to do that. It's really frustrating! I'm just glad to know it's not only me.

    @ Join the Masquerade
Yeah, I joined in 2009, probably about the same time and this just recently started happening. Just when I got a new Mac, so I thought maybe the two were connected. It doesn't seem that way though.

    @ bibles.
It's a relieve to know that it's not malware/a virus but at the same time it's beyond frustrating since it just came out of nowhere with no way to fix it on Mibba's end!

    @ Sassenach
I'm going to go try that too! Which browser to you use?

I just added an adblocker so I'm hoping it'll do what everyone is saying and stop it.

If you're using Chrome they have an adblocker. I've tried every browser and they all present this problem on Mibba.

I've been on Mibba for like 8 years and this only became a problem about a year and a bit ago I believe. Just randomly. I hadn't changed anything on my part so it must have been some configuration thing with Google or something and they started sending me different ads. Apparently it was happening to a lot of Australians.

I don't know if it still dies this to me on Mibba because I have adblock and it never seemed to bother me on my phone, but the little sites that sprung from Mibba will give me popups on my phone.

It's been happening to me for the past few days. I thought I had a virus at first until it started happening on my school's computer and they have pretty powerful firewalls that keep ads from popping up.

Can I ask, what browser do you use? Google Chrome, by chance?
Could be something to do with Google Chrome. Actually, one certain coincidence is that this is happening on my new Mac also. But I don't think it's only Mac, because I get re-directed to the same website (I'll try to recall the precise URL if it should happen again) even on my phone. My phone also uses Google Chrome, which is why I'm beginning to wonder if it's Google Chrome with a bug issue.

This redirecting hasn't actually happened to me with Mibba yet, but rather two other websites - another forum and also a video streaming website.

This is strange! I'm just thankful that it's not happening very often at all - and I hope it stays that way. Hope this problem gets sorted soon, whatever it truly is!

EDIT: lol it just happened again, I think it's spying! JK, well I hope so...anyway, the URL (or the beginning of it, anyhow) is lemode-gmz. Is it the same one for you?
