Thanks guys! I called and purchased it over the phone, and it was actually the cashier that helped me today. I know it was him too because he was like flamboyant and the only guy there, and it was so embarrassing! But I feel so much better :D

I agree with Mitt and Xiaholic, it's just a small mistake and you shouldn't worry about it. If you're that worried, you could go back to the store or call the manager or something and explain everything.

Personally, I would call them and be charged the $80. I agree with Xiaholic, though. I can't see them firing him for a little mistake. Most of the VS clothing (ignoring panties and whatnot) is around that price range anyway, it's not like you walked out of the store with $300 dollars of unpaid goods. So I can't really see it being a huge deal. Like Xiaholic said, mistakes happen.

Nah, I wouldn't worry yourself over it! It's sweet that you're considerate like that, but at the end of the day mistakes like this happen all of the time...we're only human.

When it truly comes down to it, it's very hard to tell who exactly is to blame, or if there are several people. You mentioned he was flustered - are they understaffed? Overworked? If he's being overworked or unfairly treated like this to make up for the mistake of a higher up, I'd freaking lol in the face of that higher up who's not getting a decent number of staff in and letting the poor guy suffer under the stress of demand. It's hard to tell from outside the company, and the fault lies with the company as such - not with you. So I wouldn't worry because you can't get in trouble for their mistake.
