So sorry that happened to you. Hug

And that's exactly the kind of thing I was thinking about when I saw that video. That not everyone has the privilege to pick and choose who they work for (regardless of their employers stand on certain issues) and sometimes people have to stay with a company even if they greatly disagree with its politics or policies. Because not everyone can afford to do otherwise.

I felt so bad for the woman because none of it was her fault and yet she had to take the blame for it and deal with this guy (with a smile on her face and polite words because that's her job) - as if working in fast food isn't tough enough - and he thought he was doing such a brave and stand-up thing. Bangin Like no, you just ruined some innocent woman's day and berated her for no reason; no part of that is good or helpful to the cause.

FFS I had to work for a company in which at one point my job was to raise money to make same-sex marriage constitutionally illegal in my state. I broke down crying and begged to not have to call for that cause, even telling them that I was bisexual (which was not easy for me considering it was a very conservative work place and it scared me), and they told me if I left or refused to call it would be considered job abandonment and I'd be fired. So I did it because it was all I could do to pay bills, and I was fighting back tears the whole time.

If I was an employee of Chick-Fil-A when that whole thing came out I would feel much the same way--wishing like hell I could leave, feeling awful about my position at a company I know is harming a community that means a lot to me, and hating myself for having to stay there, but also knowing I didn't have a choice. Being berated like that by a complete stranger would have made me break down.

I totally agree with you, but it's actually called Chick-Fil-A not Chick-a-Fil lol. But you definitely make a good point :)
