I have asked authors before how to go about, having someone read the work and they all said the same thing. Have people you know and trust look at it, they won't lie just to make you feel better, they will be upfront with you.

Those are some of the same reasons why I'm afraid of posting, the biggest being that someone could steal it. I really don't want it stolen and then have to fight to prove it's mine (although I save all my work on my laptop so the dates are there and everything but still). Thanks for the insight!!

Since it's a book I want to publish I keep it to myself and work on it. I feel that, yes I can post it on here. But, I have a few reasons why I don't.

1.Someone could steal it and say, "Oh yeah this is mine and no, I have never heard of Mibba and that person on there took my story saying it was her own."

    2. I like everyone on here, but getting feedback is the hardest thing to do. I'm not short on subscribers on a couple of my stories (NC-17 for example) but hardly ever comments on my stories.

    3. Or someone could report it for some reason lame reason, just to be an ass.

That is just me though. I do have a couple of people on here help me with another book I want to publish. But like I said, it's even hard to get the people to e-mail me back a lot of times. Yes I know they have lives and all that, but I don't want it to sit in a e-mail box for months on months and no one looking at it. If I didn't have spelling problems and all that, I would probably keep everything behind doors until I felt it was ready and then ask two or three people go over it and talk about what they liked and didn't like or what needed to be changed.

Again don't let my reasons freak you out, this is just the way that I am.

I seriously hate doing names lol worst part about writing. I'd rather stay up all night rewriting my plot than trying to find the perfect male lead name haha. (Sometimes I cheat and just start asking my mom what names she likes so I can pick from those haha) And as for writing a book and not posting, I seriously just wrote a blog about that... Can I have your reason for not posting? I'm starting a book and am having a hard time deciding if I want to post it here or not.

I remember once I had a story idea but it was late at night and I was going to sleep so I was just like, "I'll remember it tomorrow." I didn't remember it and I had really liked it. I hope you remember his name soon, or come up with another one that you like for him.
