Dear Fat People Response - Comments

I think it's most ironic that she said "I'm not raping people." Seriously, if someone has to use an even more offensive and triggering topic an example to make what they're doing seem okay, I find that incredibly devious and low down.September 10th, 2015 at 06:13am

@ Michael Westen
It was a really poor attempt at "satire" (Nicole's claim) imo.
Tyler tweeted about it.

I refuse to watch the video. I've heard enough about it to know that if I were to watch it, I'd just feel like shit. That there is saying something about it, if I do say so myself.
Has Tyler Oakley even responded about it?September 9th, 2015 at 04:40am -
I watched the video because Grace Helbig posted a video response to it and I was beyond pissed about it. I mean, wtf. Some of Nicole's followers calm it to be "comedy" but that video was just out of line. I also watched Megan's video response and it broke my heart. I couldn't even think straight because I was so pissed at Nicole's video. I couldn't even finish it because of how much it disgusted me.September 9th, 2015 at 04:34am

I just saw that video and tbh, it pissed me off. It annoyed me and wow... I get what she was trying to say. I mean being obese/overweight has health risks, but the way she went about it is just plain wrong and stupid. There's nothing ballsy about shaming people for being fat. I can't fathom what made her want to record that video. She tried to be funny and failed. She just showed how ugly she really is and who was truly the "whiney-baby" is. She tried to be funny by plugging in some jokes about other issues, but they fell flat, like she did. I just hope that she'll realize how ugly she really is and how ignorant she was for acting like she knew everything about what a fat person goes through.September 8th, 2015 at 04:50pm

I couldn't stand to watch the video, but I have watched a few responses to it. Honestly, it makes me sick. She's treating this whole thing as if it's something to laugh at down the road, when she can't see through the veil of ignorance she's living through that she's really hurting people. And the thing that peeves me about this is that the media still had the audacity to call her a "comedian" even after the video got taken down.September 8th, 2015 at 03:54pm

I couldn't finish watching her video, I was so angry. Like, your outer appearance doesn't always reflect your inner health. My health is horrific. I don't exercise, I eat a lot of junk, and I don't look after my sleep or anything that might be good for me. But hey, I'm skinny so guess how many people I get commenting on how they're worried for my health? Zilch. Because people like her aren't concerned with peoples' health.
And it obviously goes the other way. For someone larger who has been dieting and exercising and trying to be healthy but not losing the weight, I can only imagine how it felt watching that.
I don't really care what she says per say but it's rubbing me up the wrong way with the idea that "I'm a comedian" and "It's funny" are supposed to make it okay for her to say those things. If you wanna spew horrible things like that then you gotta own what you say. You can't play the victim and act like YOU'RE okay, and it's everyone else that just doesn't get it.September 8th, 2015 at 08:57am
I never watched it. Maybe you should send the girl this blog post? She might read it and understand how she was in the wrong, and that it's hard for people to believe her satire. People make mistakes, after all.. So maybe she will change.
Here's hoping!
