I'm one credit away from being full time this semester because my schedule ended up being weird, but I pretty much consider myself full time anyway. So for whatever reason I feel really guilty about taking any time to write if I'm not willing to do homework or studying instead. I tried to write a few days ago and I finished a paragraph and then was like "Nope. Can't do it. If I'm not gonna study, I sure as hell am not gonna write."

Maybe you just need to set aside a few minutes a day to just write? I mean, not anything sensical. Just a few sentences about whatever pops into your head. I used to do this every day (and still do sometimes) because it's a great way to jump start your brain and get some ideas flowing.

Like, some days I would just wake up and grab a notebook and start writing stupid stuff like "I had a dream I was stuck in a cave. I had the best pepperoni pizza ever. I really wish I was a dolphin sometimes." Just stuff I made up off the top of my head, just to get something out.

Thank you! And yes, I don't know her very well but I see her so often that we joke around a lot and she picks on me quite a bit too. I think I wrote it in my post but still, it's nice to know that not everyone is a sucky person though it sometimes seems that way.

Music is a good way to get inspiration. But much like my writing, I don't make time for it anymore. College ruins everything.

I'm sorry you've had such a bad day. But it's really awesome that there are still such awesome people around that will cover you when you make mistakes! That's really lovely if that woman paid for your gas.

I literally draw all of my inspiration from music. All sorts of songs, especially the darker ones this time of year. :)
