I've finally gotten internet again and was able to come on here and read your comments! Thanks so much for your caring words, I must admit I was worried I would get grilled on this one, people telling me i am selfish but it is so nice to hear other people have gone through the same thing and to hear what the outcome was. Just an update, things do seem a bit better, we are spending more time doing our own thing now with friends and it has improved our relationship a lot, I do still find myself feeling funny now and then and thinking the relationship will come to an end one day but for now things are ok, not perfect but ok and we can only go from there. TRhanks again for your support! If any of you want to chat, private message me, I know we can all do with a listening ear sometimes :)

I started to fall out of love in my relationship and it was completly me, He kept trying and I kept pushing and eventually he fell out of love when I thought we had gotten our spark back. He said it wasn't the same because he figured I had fallen out of love and after that he just didn't want to do it. Now I'm kind of filled with regret just for assuming that my love life got boring and I really miss what we did have. Hell I even want those "nothing-to-talk-about" awkward silences back. I even miss his smothering and all that extra shit. That sappy crap that I thought got boring. That throwing me over his shoulder and carrying me around. I miss it so much but he misunderstood everything. Now I can't even look at him because it breaks my heart to even see what I had given up. I lost the one I wanted because I took him for granted.

This made me so so sad.

I was you last year. I had the sweetest most caring guy in the world and I just got bored. Everything he did started to make me mad and I shoved him as far away as possible. Finally he broke up with me because he knew it was I wanted. Let me just say, we stayed apart for eight months and I was miserable. I had one boyfriend after him and all I did was compare the two. We finally started talking again this year and I feel like it took the break up for me to truly appreciate him. I do love him and I always did. I think I just got caught up in wondering if the grass was greener on the other side.

But maybe that part of your situation is different. You two might just not belong together and if you don't want to be with him anymore it's probably best you end it now before his feelings get deeper and it hurts even worse.

When I first started reading I thought I was going to say that first feelings of love when you feel head over heels for someone will eventually die but gets replaced with a different kind of love and commitment, but now I think you might've just fallen out of love.
It seems like you started off having many differences and time just has increased the differences you see in him to the point where he annoys you. I know it's hard to walk away from something you've built so long, but I honestly think you should 31st least take a break to reassess your feelings for him. Sometimes distance away makes the heart grow fonder, or you might find that you're in love with the memory of him but not as he is today.
