Are Blogs the New Journals? Help a Vet Learn New Tricks. - Comments

  • There's a lot of hockey going on in stories these days. Mibbs is a bit slower these days, in terms of the actual site, the amount of users, and the comments/feedback on anything, but it's still good! I'm among the few who've stuck around since the good old days!

But like they already said, not much has changed in the way of journals except the name. As for fanfiction, it's still here but not as dominant. There was a real push for original fics to get some more attention awhile back and now they're making their way up there.

Hope you figure out how to navigate soon! :)

  • Yes, journals are the new blogs.

Just like what Join the Masquerade has said, the stories are diverse. New fandoms have emerged (ex. 5SOS and K-Pop) as well.

  • I remember the journals before they had to be 100 words and all was chaos haha
But yes. Journals are now blogs though they're very much the same as they were in 2011. People still occasionally finish them with questions and they're still used to promote writing.

Stories and fandoms here seem to be quite diverse these days. I see a lot for sports, and then for every band under the sun lol. I don't think any one fandom dominates these days.
