I'm trying to start writing When Fire Meets Ice (Leilani is a dragon who can become human for certain periods of time using her magic. Jura is her half sister who is human but very jealous of the beauty and danger associated with her sister. A dragon slayer comes along and threatens Leilani's world while throwing Jura deeper into jealousy).
To Kill a Ghost was my NaNo story that I'm in the process of ending. Its about an assassin who was hired to kill a man who doesn't exist.
I'm working on a co-write called Underestimate Me, which is about the deceitful romance of a merchant's daughter and the king's son. They are punished for their acts in a way that is both cruel and divine, and their punishment leads to a war no one saw coming..
There's Heart & Soul which is finished, I just need to finish posting the chapters. It's about a soul stealing vampire who captures the soul of a great witch. She somehow survives, follows the vampire into hell to get her soul back, and ends up finding out more about her powers, her family, and her own soul.
@ Flower_Child I read The Girl on the Train for book club a couple of months ago. It was pretty interesting, but you had to pay attention with the details.
You're writing sounds pretty great too. I love drama in writing/reading. It makes things so much easier and fun to work with.
@ Lady Nikki Nightmare Hi! I mostly write chaptered stories, but I have some short ones too. The genre I write is mostly tragic/romantic dramas. I like to write characters that are usually having a rough time with life (drugs, abuse, etc.) And then I'll have romance because writing about love is fun too.
Last book I read was Girl On The Train and that was a good thriller. Right now I'm just starting to read, Trainspotting which is about the lives of friends addicted to drugs.
What do you write? Like short stories or chaptered stories or both? And what genre?
What do you read too?
I'm kind of in the same boat with you. I feel like there's no real reason to post half the time so I only check when I get emails. Even though I'm dying to get back into my dragon story.
@ camelopard I know I felt the same way posting my stories to you!! But we're all good! lol We're just two writers excited about sharing our work. I have a lot of unfinished stories too, but I didn't want to talk about them just because I have no clue what to do with them (completion wise). Although I just went back to one of them and read it over and I might continue working on The Unforgettable
I'm going to start reading one of your stories now :)
I have a lot of stories because I can't seem to commit to one story and only one story, but here's a few that get updated the most often:
Skinny Boy Olympics — It's very new and kind of ... dark. On an emotional level. Falling Stars — This has to be one of the most lighthearted stories of mine. It's cute and slightly relatable. Su Amante — It's pretty humorous at moments, but it's bound to go from 0 to 100 really quick. And last not but not least, A Collection of Wistfulness — It's bittersweet. No one dies in this one. It's probably my favorite aesthetically speaking.
I couldn't help but to read through some of the previous comments and noticed that we both fancy writing tragic yet romantic stories sometimes (even though I do have a few lighter ones, as well). I would love to read some of stories!
