I understand what you're going through. I don't have any scholarship and I also don't take any student loans. My dad pays my fees and gives me monthly allowance which I have to use sparingly just so I have enough to eat. Sometimes I don't even have money to buy books because let's face it, uni books are expensive as heck. These are what I usually do when I don't have the books needed for my tasks:

    1. Ask from seniors.
They usually have the books and ask them if they can lend it to you or maybe you can buy from them half the original price? I don't know how it is where you're from but over here, we buy books from seniors all the time.
    2. Lend from friends.
See if your friends have them and lend the books when your friends aren't using them. We also believe in the phrase, 'sharing is caring'.
    3. Borrow the books from the library.
Library surely has everything. So why don't you borrow the books from the library while waiting for the Financial Aids for you to get your own?

And also, when I don't understand something for my assignments, I ask the help of everyone's best friend, Mr. google.com. And it doesn't hurt to consult your lecturers. I'm sure they'll explain it all again. Cute

I wish you all the best luck in the world. Arms And hope everything will go well.
