    @ Albluerose
    I was on the depo for two and a half years and I think that's part of why I gained so much weight (I went from 175 to 161 during the atkins to over 200 before I went off the shot). It didn't help I never exercised. As much as I hate having a period, I decided having one was better than being hungry all the time. I still have some other changes to make to complete healthy living as an objective.

    @ dawn of light
    Hey, those changes are still really great! My goal is at least thirty minutes of activity every day, but I'm really shooting for an hour. Someday I want my stamina to be good enough to do more than one thing a day.

    @ Hina;
    Yes, I know. None of my family will be dieting with me (mum just made mexican food pff). Personally I don't think you should wait for your sleep schedule. Those things are fickle, especially since we're so young. Just thirty minutes walking or stretching every day can make a difference.

    @ losing control.
    Thank you! It's hard for me to stay determined, but like I said, I don't want to be bigger, so I have to make some changes.

    @ mk ultra
    Well there's lots of food I can still enjoy since I mostly eat chicken based foods anyway. I just have to remind myself none of that can be fast food, because fast food has a lot of calories. It should be better for my bank account as well, so that will be nice.

    As for starbucks, I'm just gonna consider it a once a month, congrats for the hardwork kind of thing. And if I get it more than that, I'll get smaller portions than I normally do.

    There are sugar free Starbucks drinks you can get that are just as good! Try to find something to replace the potatoes and rice. Tbh I can only ever stay on a diet if I just stop thinking about food as a "pleasure" thing, but rather as a source of life for my body or whatever.

    I think it's great that you're so determined! That's the part I struggle with, I can't get my lazy butt motivated to switch my diet Facepalm I really hope everything works out for you!

    It's hard to eat healthiy when your family has a huge craving for greasy food. Whenever i can get my sleeping schedule straight, I'm gonna look into losing some weight as well.

    I've been going on my family's treadmill for forty-five minutes every other day since January 27 because my goal is to be healthier. Cutting down on the carbs is still difficult for me. I didn't cut down on rice just yet haha I only switched to brown rice.

    I love that you're so determined, and how you shared your goal with us Cute

    I gained so much weight in the last year, I was 145 and now I think I'm almost 160 but I'm also on the depo shot. :( yay for birth control. I'm thinking of changing it, but I don't want my period lol. The worst part, I barely eat. I work at dunkin, so I'm always drinking coffee or eating a bagel with cream cheese or sausage and egg. When I'm home I don't really eat. :(

    The two hardest things will be cutting potatoes/rice and caffeine/sodas. Potatoes and rice are basic everyday foods for me (which is probs why I got so fat in the first place) and I'm a big fan of coffee and root beer. No more starbucks for me either, because there's soooooooooo much sugar in those drinks. *heavy sigh*

    I have been on a low carb diet for 9 days and I've lost at least 5 lbs. I lost about 30 lbs on this diet three years ago, within about 2 months, and when I was like 11 I lost 20 lbs on this diet. Basically, I just eat meat, eggs, and vegetables. and nuts. And the Atkins shakes and stuff.
