HUZZAH! *happy dance* Yeah, we're gonna pay off some debts and build up a savings account for the first time since we moved back in September. (Having to pay the moving expenses and the bills on two apartments at once for half a month seriously screwed us over.)

Oh I feel you. Last night at like 9:30 my boyfriend was like, "Hey check my bank account." and I was like, "Umm no, its not even midnight yet nothing will be there." Sure enough I checked it and his taxes had come in. I got excited and checked mine... nothing!
This morning when I woke up I checked it again and mine had come in too!
I danced around my living room naked. Its a good thing we're on the second floor otherwise some poor kid waiting for the school bus would have gotten a hell of a show from my balcony doors.
It feels so nice not to be completely broke. We're using it to catch up on some bills because we're been perpetually behind about a month on them since my son was born 13 months ago and we're going to be able to take a trip to see my family (on the other side of the country. I'm in AZ they're in RI) so my Grandmother who is 80 can meet her first Great-Grandson.
    Lets dance together in celebration!

We're pulled in so many different financial directions right now lol. We DEFINITELY have to pay off MNSure and at least $1,000 of what we owe on the credit card with it, and the rest of what my husband owes on tuition which is about $500. So that accounts for all but about $1,000 of the tax return. Half of that probably will go to a classical guitar. The remainder will be split--half for savings/emergencies, and half for actually doing something fun. Then we've got a little bit more coming from the state, which we can put in savings, and I'm working a buttload of overtime right now which will also go into savings. So we should be pretty well taken care of I think! :D

He needs a classical guitar, which would be acoustic. He has other acoustic and electric guitars but for part of his coursework (he's majoring in guitar performance) he needs a classical.

Wow, that's amazing! You should save a few hundred of the return for emergency money and then just pay off some of your bills. Or do whatever you want because it's your money and you know what's important! XD

Does your husband need an acoustic guitar or an electric guitar?
