If you'd like to directly embed YouTube videos into your blogs, you can use this little nifty trick to do so: [youtube]Insert URL here[/youtube]. Wait! You're not finished yet; read on or the link won't work. So far, if I insert an example URL, we have: [youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AKF-wfmNAI[/youtube]. Now in order to get the embedding to work, the 's' that comes right after 'http' needs to be removed. Doing so will produce:
Every time you edit your post hereafter, the '?v' just after 'watch' in the URL will disappear and you will need to retype it in order to get your embedded video to work.
