When I first started reading an article about Target's new restroom policy, I actually thought I would end up being really angry. (I thought Target would be making a statement reinforcing strict cis-gender bathroom standards.) But as I read along, I was pleasantly surprised that they were making a positive move.
And then I saw the backlash...
I just read your article and I agree 100%. A lot of people supporting the boycott are really, greatly misinformed about who's out there committing sexual assaults and who the victims are. They're boycotting on an idea that's born strictly out of hate and not at all out of facts. It's really sucks but I desperately hope Target stands their ground. Hopefully if they do, other companies will follow suit.
