    @ cleopatra.
i hear the qu'ran and the christian bible are very similar. i used to be agnostic for a while, too, but then i started researching, and it's very fun to see what beliefs christians hold.

i'm also starting to get convinced myself, but there's still that big question about the evolution theory clashing with how God created the Earth in seven days (a day in God's life is a thousand years in our timeline as said in Peter 3:8). i'm still trying to dig more into that. and the bible is a pretty questionable book in general, which i find fun to research into.

and one thing i also wanted to add (but didn't because i'm also guilty of doing this and i feel hypocritical) is the way people are literally imitating the way christians talk? "lawd hammercy", "god bless you child", "prayer circle for you", "girl, you need jesus", etc. i see it everywhere online, i even saw a trend where a group of friends would like sit down in a praying position and bow their heads down as a joke.

as a christian, you start thinking,
"maybe the verse from Jude 1:4 is real:
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ."

i had one of those as a child, too! haha but as i started to read the non-children's version one, there's a lot to take in. i can see why they had to make a children's version haha. especially in the old testament, it's full of incest, God killing people bc they sined a lot, and slaves being used as sex slaves/baby-makers. and there's also this whole issue with the bible being against homosexuality, which i'm very uncomfortable with. i don't believe God is so adamant in hating specific humans, why get all out your way to oppress them?

this is a very interesting comparison actually. im not christian, rather, im a muslim but even so, im agnostic so i don't exactly believe in god nor can i prove that he simply doesn't exist so i just go about life doing whatever i need to do paying no heed. even so, as a child i did try to read the qu'ran (which failed) so my religious affiliation is zero. regardless of such, i loved your blog bc i was thinking about the apple logo & the tablets & social media followers like "oh my god, this is so true"

funny thing is is that as a child i had a "children's bible". not a legit one but one that condensed the stories you speak of into a giant book of illustrations that any child could understand, you know? so i feel like im much more affiliated w/ the stories you'd hear in the bible than my "own" holy book. being that i don't have a religious view, i love hearing things about other people's observations, opinions & their views (of course as long as they don't try shoving it down my throat -.-)

but heeeey, newly converted you said? that's really awesome! & i thank you for being so responsible & sweet when talking about this sensitive topic. ik a lot of ppl take it out of proportion or throw words out there when they bring up things like religion. & i do hope you feel better! i have a psych exam tomorrow but no school today so study study study
