I have three siblings who are technically all half-siblings (we all have different fathers) so you can imagine how screwed up our family dynamics are. We all have the same mom, so while we don't have that typical sibling relationship, we were raised like full blooded siblings. My brothers are 5 & 9 years older than me though, so that impacted our relationship.
What I'm saying is that sometimes it's seems easier to be an only child. There are pluses and minuses on both sides of the equation. But you should try to get to know your little brother if that's possible. Half-sibling or no, he's still your brother and if you want that relationship, then he's your shot.
