The only reason why I can see bringing another pet into the pet office is that you're putting down the other one. We had to do that with my Basset Hounds. The female got really sick and the male dog knew something was wrong. We took her to the Vet and he wouldn't stop howling until we brought her back. When we brought him to the office, we informed the vet and she said it was a good idea. He is really well trained and we did the common courtesy of informing the vet before hand and she gave her approval. It was a sad scene but because we did what we did, and he was by her side when she passed, he didn't slip into a severe depression. He just can't sleep outside anymore and he always has to be by your side now.
I think it's rude for anyone to do that unless they ask the vet before hand. If they say no, listen to them and just bring the one pet of yours that needs to be there. It can be really stressful for everyone in that situation if you just do whatever you want.

1.Why would anyone bring an extra pet for support?! That makes no sense. That's more work then needed. Plus it stresses out all the animals. And the people in the room.

    2. As a parent, I know why this is said. Do you know how many times my son has gotten annoying in the waiting room. But has done his best to keep my dog occupied while the vet is looking at him, he will talk to him and give him treats. It's actually good. Lol. But I agree, if they can. Leave them with a babysitter. Lol less stress.

3 and 4. I 100% agree. These vets are doing their job for us and our pets. Answer the damn questions. Lol.

    5. It's like a 50-50 thing. Some don't like it and some dont want to over vaccinate. Some dont have the money, like my dog is due for his shots like months ago, but money has been tight. Though he will be getting them soon. Because I need to get tranqs from my vet to get his nails done. Lol

    6. Ugh hate it. Just ugh.

    7. Omg yes! They think muzzles are bad! I had a moment though, my dog is very good at vets and never had to get muzzled but this one guy was like he growled muzzle him and I was like wtf!? Give him treats and he will love you. They did that after and were like oh wow okay. Ugh. It's cause of his breed. Pit mastiff mix. (Mutt). But I agree, muzzles are for the safety of the dog, surrounds animals and people. People need to be responsible. I will muzzle if I need to. Lol
