So funny thing, I read your last paragraph and I was thinking, "Oh, I should recommend Six of Crows to them!" then discovered that you were talking about SoC, haha.

I have a few friends that have read the sequel and they say it's just like mindblowing/heartbreaking, there's a LOT of talk about it. Leigh Bardugo is big on 'book twitter'.

We should all just write huge fangirl letters to Lee Brodingo, telling her how she ruined our lives yet gave us something we had been waiting for all our lives and we didn't even know it. My thoughts are such a mess... I can't even string them into a coherent blog, but you get what you get when it comes to me. You will have me for the mess I am, or you will not have me at all You may have ruined my life, but I can't deny that I love the state I'm in right now.
