There's nothing wrong with having a moral code - I have one myself but that doesn't mean I go around enforcing it on other people. I tried doing that and have nearly lost friends in the process because no one wants to hear how someone doesn't approve of their actions, regardless of who is in the right or wrong. There's a difference between having morals and then preaching about them - I find those who preach about certain topics tend to have a "I know everything" attitude and refuse to listen to others, which sounds a little silly IMO. Like I said in my blog, you (general you) do you but do not comment on other people's lives if it's none of your business (which, most of the time it isn't).

Sex has also been proven to have many health benefits, but I understand that it isn't for everybody and that's perfectly okay. As for the STD's - that's what condoms and regular health checks are for? I have friends with active sex lives and they're just fine with the above checks! There's also female condoms, IUD's, the pill / shot / patch, tying your tubes permanently, etc. People have been having sex for many years now and from observation and generally reading the news I've never heard of a case where someone has died from having too much sex or having sex with multiple people. As for causing life problems, I do agree with that but anything can cause life issues - sex isn't the only factor that has repercussions.

Having a belief system or ethical code is not about hating people who don't follow that system/code. It's about identifying a behavior that seems to be efficient, and promoting it as a healthy lifestyle. If someone believes that it's better to not have sex with too many people, their goal is not to make people who do have sex with multiple people feel bad. It's proven that having sex with many people can lead to health risks, like cancer later in life (besides all the STD's and shit). Besides physical health, it can lead to emotional problems, and, let's face it, life problems in general.

It's like saying that the motive behind being against heroin use is making heroin addicts feel bad about themselves. It's not about that.

I think I'll write a more detailed critique of this whole thing tomorrow.
