I don't, it's an old laptop from like, years ago. I don't even remember having to install anything.

It was off. Unfortunately it has a hard-drive which is why I'm pretty hopeless.

Quick question. When you dropped it, was it on? Also do you know if it has a SSD or a spindle drive? I'm sure there is something you can do. As for taking it to an apple store, you certainly don't want to do that anyway. They won't help you. They just want to make money, trust me.
