You finish early! My only exam this term is on 30th May. I want to go abroad to someplace hot with fine, sandy beaches, but I've nobody to ask to come with. My main plans this summer are work and a camping trip at the end of August. I might return to a horse rescue or country park volunteer events in my local area, I'm not sure.

Thank you! My last final is actually tomorrow and then I can go home Friday. I may be a camp counselor for the summer or possibly work at a dog shelter, whoever interviews and/or hires me first, haha. What about you?

I feel the same way! I really want to be able to travel too, can't be doing with being stuck in an office or lab all year round at all. Outdoor work is where I belong.

That's such a cool aspiration! Good luck with it all.

Funnily enough, I kept having recurring thoughts about becoming an equine vet, but the fact that the degree for it is 6 years long made me realise that, actually, I'm glad I didn't go down that route. I don't think I could have handled all the chemistry either.

When does your term finish? Any plans for summer? :-)

I was considering possibly specializing in evolution, but it looks like I can't.

My goal was to start out as zookeeper just to get my foot in the door and work my way from there. Really I want to do in life IS be an animal photographer for National Geographic but it's such a hard job to get so I need to make a prestige resume. I'm just not sure what to put on it. I'm still considering Masters, but it's so hard to figure out in what. After a year of chemistry I know I don't want to go to Vet School. Plus I feel like being a vet would just seclud me to a corner in a neighborhood when really I want to travel the world.

And girl, I feel you on the jealousy thing. There was a guy in my class who seemed to have the answers to everything!

Hey, you're not alone in finding evolutionary biology difficult. It has definitely been my least favourite subject this year. I also want to work with animals, but it's looking like I'm not smart enough to go into real high level stuff. I don't want to be a zookeeper though - I don't want my role to be so repetitive and closed off.

Do you have any idea what kind of role you want to work in? Are you just going for a BSc?

I initially was considering Masters but now I realise I'm not smart enough for it. I could be accepted, but I know that I'll have to work really, really hard just to get a decent grade, as is the case right now. Not going to lie, I'm secretly very jealous of anyone in my class who manages to get consistent top marks!
