    I can completely relate.

If I'm being completely honest, though, I'm terrified of sites that are more active. At least for fanfiction. Shifty

Not because I think my work is great or because I don't want/need critique and feedback, but because of how vehement some fandoms can be for no reason, whereas on Mibba it's so chill. And Mibba was also my first love,as far as writing sites. File

But that's me being a baby. tehe Maybe I'll branch out and explore.

A03 is still pretty active. I mean depending on the fandom you're writing for it's pretty active but there are a few fandoms that aren't all that active. Aha i'll definitely go back to wattpad. I just gotta figure out what kind of stories I should post there. XD

    @ flyest invertebrate.
i haven't made a layout in forever but omg do i remember just making layouts and summary pages and all of that instead of actually writing, ahahah. that's one thing i also loved about mibba! story layouts are super unique to this website, and i think they add a lot of personality more than just a simple cover. c:

i'm pretty biased towards wattpad, honestly, but i think that's because i've found a really comfortable place there that i honestly think anyone could also find, but i know that a lot of people don't. i think one of the best pieces of advice i can give is that finding people to talk to and whatnot really boosts up the wattpad experience, and it's one of the reasons i keep coming back because i've found such an awesome close friend group. coming back = more updating, more updating = more reads, and you'll gain an audience! it won't happen overnight but it definitely can happen! and i mean, once you get to a certain point that you can get ads on your story, getting a cheque every couple of months is also nice ahaha ^^ writing pays my phone bill now!

ALSO (sorry i talk a lot ^^') i will say quantity wise- you'll definitely get more feedback, but because of in-line comments it won't be one longer comment, but more various smaller comments. people still post longer comments, but it's much less likely. that's one of the biggest differences i found from wattpad feedback vs mibba feedback, where i was way more likely to get longer type comments. i don't think either are particularly bad, but just a thing to be aware of!

    @ Shadowette
lurkers unite! i feel honoured you'd come out of your lurker status for this blog ahahah ^^

i agree for the wattpad friends thing! there was a bout there before i found mine that i didn't really have my heart in wattpad, and i think not having anyone to talk to when i got there was a huge part of it. some people recommend forums- and you can, i think. i actually found my friends from reading and commenting on stories, and we all managed to make a fun little group, and this year we even sent xmas presents to each other! but this all happened in the last year, and i've been on wattpad for over 2. even finding one good friend really makes wattpad a better place! but blogs do allow for a way easier time in making friends, i totally agree. it's the difference between being in a room with 20 people and trying to make friends, and being in a room with 1000.

    happy new year!

    ahaha cookies are enticing!

definitely more intimate! i've always wanted to try posting on ao3, especially because i went through a sterek bout a while back and always wanted to give it a go but never felt up for it and don't think i'd post that on wattpad, but never ended up getting the nerve, and now that teen wolf's done i'm not sure the sterek audience is still there. i definitely associated ao3 with tumblr, so i wonder if their activity in general is also decreasing or still pretty steady?
and maybe you should come to the wattpad darkside ahahah ^^

Hello! Come back to the darksiiiiddde! (We have cookies!) LOL

I feel you though. I've been on tons of other writing sites that're more active than Mibba (in terms of giving and getting feedback) but Mibba just seems to be one of those smaller lesser known websites that feels more... solid and intimate... if that makes sense. xD I'm only ever active on three writing sites in total, Mibba, Fanfiction.Net and Archive of Our Own. But my activity on A03 has declined a lot though. So I may end up crossposting a lot of my stories on the websites I've mentioned and start up my wattpad account again.

Yep, I feel the same. Blogs are one of my favourite things here and I do the same thing - lurk in blogs. I mean, I don't know why! I feel like it's easy and quick.

I have Wattpad, but, lol I have no friends there... (.___.) So, I'm left here in Mibba. It's the only writing website I know. Plus, it's great seeing people (and meeting more) on this site.

    Anyway... Happy New Year! :D

I definitely feel you, dude. I'm not super active on Mibba, I'll comment every now and then, make layouts for stories I haven't updated in forever or stories that will never be written, but I've always stayed. I think it's just cause I've met a ton of bomb ass people on here and this site has made me discover my love for writing.

I'm debating on going back to Wattpad. I usually just post some of the stories I have here on Wattpad, but I feel like Wattpad could be a good change. Especially because I feel like Mibba is kind of dead? Like, when I joined it was a lot more active then it was now, and having comments kind of motivated me to update because I at least knew people liked it or were reading it, ya know? But I feel you on that, going on to Wattpad feels sort of like a bigger goodbye to Mibba. :/

Anyway, hope you have an awesome 2018, dude. ^_^
