That is honestly why I prefer classics, because even if one isn't my cup of tea, it still have value and I'm glad to have read it. I have horrible luck picking out new books. Seriously, i've bought books only to force myself through the first few chapters and donate to charity.

Oooh!! I bookmarked the list! I think a problem I have is finding generally good books. Because while I like to try my hand at picking and getting pleasantly surprised if the novel I chose is good, I usually end up with a book that I really have to force myself to get through. But lists like those really helps inspire me more because I know that they most definitely have merit (even if I don’t end up liking them fully lol XD)

Reading books is so much better than reading online. There is actually a sense of accomplishment at the end. I honestly want to make my way through the Times 100 list. That's my goal.

It's kind of nice to re-read books. I very rarely do that, and when I do it is usually The Great Gatsby, lol.
I console myself with the fact that there are still so many classics that I haven't read, that really, no one can blame me for not reading anything "new".

I’m reading books that I’ve already read before. Which is ever good. When I was youger I used to read ANYTHING consistently. I always had a book in my hand. But I guess I hit a reader’s block. But reading your reading list makes me feel inspired to try to read more for the New Year. I want to read newer books, too because I’m guilty of just going to older books as well lol XD
