I'm Quarantined - Comments

  • @ DracoMalfoy;

    I'm so sorry. I know it's probably not going to help with anxieties but I hope everything comes back clear and resolves itself quickly. Your health I mean. Everyone's health. This entire situation is completely insane.

  • @ cannibal.

    A big fear of mine is that I have a 6mo old preemie with a compromised immune system because she was a preemie and her lungs are damaged because she caught RSV twice in her first month of life.

    @ lady.bex

    Our first death happened today. Heard on the news today that our death toll is what Italy's was at two weeks ago.

    @ Colonel Carrillo;

    I'm not so much worried about myself, more so my infant who is high risk.

    @ Qhuinn.

    Eventually, they're going to have to pay. KY and several other states are trying to get medical leave for all workers that are paid during a 14-day quarantine.

    @ american nightmare;

    Thank you

  • Keeping you in my thoughts Hug

    We're up to 950 positive cases in NY so it's safe to say there are little quarantined areas all over up here. I was waiting until it was mandatory to stay indoors but we jumped to 4 known cases in my town overnight so as of right now I'm self quarantining until further notice. I may be pregnant or having a scare at the very least so I'm not playing anymore.

  • Here it's basically, if you don't have to go out, please stay in. School have officially closed down for the month as of today, and now all the idiots are running around shopping and standing in very long queues breathing and coughing on each other. We Dutch people can be very down to earth, but this is taking it to far.

    Anyway, I hope you're quarantine is treating you well, and that you'll get news soon. <3

  • No quarantine yet, but there are some of us who are prepared if it DOES happen. I work in corrections and we're taking a ton of extra precautions with our new intakes, such as taking temps as soon as they come in the door and making them wash their hands and faces. We've been sanitizing everything like crazy, too.

    I'm not sure how exactly how it'd work -we haven't really discussed a plan of action with our jailer- but should there come a situation where we'd have to be quarentined, any staff on shift would have to remain on the premises for 2 weeks.

    As I said, I'm not sure what all that might entail beyond just that. But we're currently just trying to do all we can to prevent it.

    Hope you get to feeling better and that everything is okay!

  • Im so sorry to hear about your quarantine. I work in a healthcare facility but haven't been exposed but I was sick last week with some type of upper respiratory thing and they made me stay home and it was all unpaid. I usually would have just gone to work and worn a mask but since there is a shortage they wont let anyone who is sick wear a mask and make them stay home.

    I hope your HR can work something out and that your exposure stays just that... Exposure
