Coming Out of Iso | New Contest - Comments

I know I feel you. I just want to create Pinterest boards for some characters and plot and do fun artsy stuff and then I'm like wait girl finish what you got. I'm at the ass end of a story and I just can't get myself to finish it. I'm also debating if I want to post all/part of my nano novel or not since I want to ultimately publish it. Idk idk. But I am working on a website. it'd be really sick to create a solid writing site and use my own experiences/tastes to curate it. Definitely will have story layout capabilities. I wish I could just take over Mibba and fix the glitches and restore it to its former glory.

There are phases. I believe we are currently in stage 1 which advises construction, agriculture, and retail for curbside pick up is okay. I believe our beaches are open to 50% capacity. Things can go well if people stay the course but the weather has been REALLY nice up here and idk how much faith I have with New Yorkers and summertime weather lol. Luckily I work from home and my job has no immediate intentions to make us go back to the office.

My boyfriend and I live together we technically always have since like day 5 of dating lol. Things have been going really smoothly in comparison to other couples writing think pieces on how they can't stand their partner.

I heard NY is huge for cases! How they're starting to reopen things is honestly beyond me. Are you staying with your man or living separately (either way, how good to have at least some company).

NO THAT DOES NOT START CRAZY pls do it, I mean you got the time now so why not right ?? And I'm sure there'd be a bunch of mibbians who'd want to join and be a part of a community that's not too disjointed again. But like, also write too. I'm trying to get into writing and I often feel inspired but not enough to feel satisfied with what comes out when I do put pen to paper. It's going to be one slow burn AGH. Mostly trying to focus on old stories right now because there's a few that really inspire me but then also like the idea of opening a blank page and creating new characters and STORY LAYOUTS MAN. Honestly the best feature on any site ever and I'm so glad it's a thing. Actually entering contests have helped me get in the mood but when there's none active I've been slowly looking for writing prompts to get me in the groove

The UK is dealing with this... well I mean the best way to describe it is that the government aren't dealing with this I think it's a straight toss up between us and the US as to who is dealing with it worse. We've had politicians flouting lockdown rules to reavel halfway across the country, half of Parliament (including the prime minister) have had COVID-19 and they started lifting lockdown in England way too early. We're lucky that the lockdown powers are devolved, so the Scottish government have kept us locked down and our new infection rates have dropped to about 50 a day from 300. They're talking about relaxing iso here from the 28th but it's a very small amount of powers - basically opening garden centres and creating iso bubbles that you can go see anyone within but can't go see anyone else. I've been working from home since lockdown started, thankfully. Wouldn't want to imagine how quickly COVID-19 would spread in a call centre environment

I'm glad you're getting out finally! Hopefully you can do a bunch of lovely things. I don't think humans are meant to isolate like this, so some normality must be lovely!

It's a coding issue. I'm afraid the only person who has access to fix it is Dujo and we're struggling to contact him. It's the same for everyone, unfortunately

I live in Pennsylvania United States. I am an hour and a half away from Philadelphia. But in general it is a shit show in the states. It is more of a who's dick is bigger contest on being right. Then also if you don't agree with the majority, or question things, you are an ignorant pos apparently.
So in all honesty I have been very irradiated this entire time.

I lost my job(not by choice), and our car went completely out of service. So I haven't been able to buy a used car anywhere, and the title changing place is closed on top of that. I hope things slowly open up in June like they said(we were pushed back from the May reopening date), so I can get some things in order finally.

Iso has not loosened ova here. An unfortunate side effect of living right next to nyc. Hopefully within the next month I'll have a semblance of my life back. We shall see.

Congrats on the new job! I need to put out applications, my position got cut in May unfortunately. but also like I hated my job? so not that mad bout it. Tbhhh I feel like it was a sign to give me time to focus on writing (which I have not done lol) but coming back to mibbs is my step in the right direction. Tell me does this sound crazy: I kinda want to start my own writing site? I thought about doing this a while back but now I'm really thinking I should do it. Who knows. Maybe I should just focus on writing.

How is writing going for you? Working on old stuff or starting something new? I live in NY and things have been super weird. I live upstate for work and things aren't so bad here but things are also starting to reopen and it's been...wild to say the least. My boyfriend and I are still following strict isolation rules and I personally have no interest in doing anything massively social until things are fully clear. I do miss the city and my family there, though.
