My thoughts on Mibba. - Comments

  • It looks like everyone read it.
Getting youtr journal banned for three months is ridiculous.
Not being able to say what you want on the website is too.
I'm not saying just randomly cuss people out, but if they don't make any sort of complaint, I don't see a problem.
Not everyone wants to spend their days thinking about what to put onto their journals or whatever. Some people just want to say something and get feedback.
First amendment should know no limits.

  • Please don't start with freedom of speech. You have no idea what that's about. Internet is still banned in North Korea, that's a matter of freedom of speech, but you getting banned on mibba because you trashed the admins, well that has nothing to do with freedom of speech.
And so you know it, in the real world, with real freedom of speech issues, and -almost- real democracy you can still be trialled for calumny or defamation. But unlike the real world on mibba you can just log out and never come back.

  • Oh, another thing I don't like.
My story got suspended because my grammar isn't so hot. I mean, it's one thing if I'm TyPiNg LyKe Dis (which I despise), but why is it still suspended if all I have are some capitalization and dialog spacing mistakes? Psh. I've been to school, none of my teachers have said anything to me about it.
The whole reason I thought it'd be cool to write on here is that I'd have more freedom. And not be worried about maybe not putting a capital letter at the beginning of dialog.

    SO MUCH FOR THAT.

(Now I know I'm just being a little bitch. What are you going to do? BLOCK ME?)

  • I get that. And I'm not bad-mouthing anyone. I'm just saying that the whole point of that freedom is that you can criticize authority without being thrown in jail, murdered, banned, etc.

And I think it may just be the way the rules are worded, but if they're meant to be used like they should, it's totally contradictory.

  • I agree with Dirty.Little.Rockstar.

There are limitations, and it's a right, and like anything else, it can be taken from you if you take advantage of it. It's a privlige, and it can be lost, like when you get the curfew, and if you come home late, you lose it and have to be home before dark.

You have to remember, people like Tas and Dujo are only doing this for the good of the site. And remember that they're the ones that run this site, and without any power, it would be more a fucking mad house than it was before the rules.

  • There's limitations on freedom of speech.

You aren't allowed to be prejudice, use steretypes, slander, verbally attack anyone. You can't damage the person's appearance based on lies.

You may have freedom of speech/press But it's only a "right" it's not an obligation. You have the right to it, but you can be denied it. if you cross the line.

  • THANK GOD.
Well If you guys agree, I can sleep at night after saying I think the mods, admins, etc. are mad with power.

  • That's why a lot of people have blogger accounts.
Blogger accounts are not restricted. So you can talk and rant etc as much as you like...
then you could promote your blogger on the profile of your mibba account and any interested parties could check it out.
But yeah, some of the rules on this site are suffocating.
I don't think Mibba care about promoting other blogs of yours etc considering they have an option where you can promote your mibba stories on myspaz.
