this happened to me before they just hated me for no reason but i cant give you too much advice, because i was forced to move germany for 9 months... but before that, the best thing to do is give them some space so that they can think through what they're really doing. if they have any respect they'll do whats best. Of course ask them whats up first though
in my opinion i think you should just go up to him and ask what he's done, if you don't now what you've done then you shouldn't have to apologise. then once he tells you why he may be ignoring you you should tell him your sorry and hopefully you'll be friends again =]
