You shouldn't hide from love, your feelings, or from being scared. You need all those things. Why do you hide from them in the first place? Love makes us happy, our feelings help express ourselves, and being scared is just a part of life. You are who you are - don't be ashamed of that. And if there is a guy who is in love with you...well then you must be more than you think you are. You need to love yourself, because other people love you, and because you need to give things a go.
