Skirt over jeans

So I have these three skirts that I absolutely LOVE.
Slightly trendy, but apparently I can make them look punk.
Anyways,
It's starting to get cold already where I live,
And I don't like the whole leggings with skirt thing on me too much,
it works, but i feel weird for some reason.
Anyways I did this a little last year and just wondering what you think about it.
I would wear a pair of my skinny jeans, and then put a skirt on over them.
Some of my friends thought it looked cute, and others not so much.
Just wondering what you think of it.
