Yeah, I'd rather be a bull.

Would you rather have security by following a leader you disagree with . . . or rebel and live a life of uncertainty? Are you an ox or a bull?

Did you know that the only difference between an ox and a bull is castration? I didn't. Not until today at least. I suppose you learn something new everyday; I seem to always learn something new in AP U.S. History.

Feeney -- as in Boy Meets World -- played the part of John Adams in the movie/ musical 1776 which we viewed in history. (The movie isn't as bad as it sounds, and it is quite entertaining. I especially liked the person who played Richard Henry Lee. But that's beside the point.) As we watched, one line in particular caught my attention. It referred to oxen and bulls. In this situation, being an ox meant to stay under the British rule and not strive for independence. Being a bull meant struggling for liberty.

So which would you rather be? An ox or a bull?
Personally, I'd rather be a bull. I would rather die for a cause than never have a cause at all. But maybe that's just me. Of course, Feeney's with me; John Adams wanted independence when no one else seemed to.
