I'm planning on writing a fanfiction on the comic X-Men.
I'm currently having difficulty getting my 'plane to take off'.
THe first chapter will be of one of the characters named Tyler Teide aka Exawatt. He can control electricity and lives in NYC. He accidentally knocks out the power plant for NYC, and is now on run from the cops.
I don't know where Xavier's school is generally, but I've been told 50 miles from NYC.
I want Exawatt to hang around the city for a chapter before leaving for the school, but I don't know why he would want to.
Someone please give a reason he would want to.
