I'm not a person of politics.
I have nothing to do with them and they have nothing to do with me.
I'm 24 years old and I never even registered to vote, basically cause my faith in democracy has been long gone by now. Politics do not rule this world, money does. I don't agree with it, but I accept it.
Accept that no matter who is in rule of a country, in the end those with the money run it, and can make it big and can make it fall. Therefore, politicians are just faces put there for the audience to be distracted while the welthy ones gain more power.
Like I said, I don't agree with it. I'd like to see a society where all values are the same and every person gets what they deserve. Where I know all my efforts are rewarded fairly. Where all kids have the same chances to go to school and college to be what they want to be. Where we can have health systems that actually work and don't look how much money you make before they see how they treat you. (I work in a public hospital, I know how that is)
I see the people in the US (and around the world as well) celebrating this new president, Barack Obama. They claim him to be the face of change, the encarnation of the america dream, where anything is possible. Maybe for him it was, and it's great, cause it gives hope to people and I'll give him that, the guy has spirit. But I'm a skeptical one.... He has a lot of work to do to fix the disaster that previous managements have left and I truly hope he can do it. Cause, wheter we like it or not, all of Southamerica is under the domain of the US, so if things go up for you, they go up for me too. (as a country)
Still, change is celebrated, diversity is celebrated and California, Florida and Arizona are banning Gay Marriage.
Land of opportunities is a land of contradiction.
Anyways. Like I said I'm not a person of politics, I just thought I'd throw im my opinion.
My best wishes to the new administration, I hope Obama the person the whole world expects him to be and he doesn't end up like Kennedy.
(yes, call me a pessimist, but it's realism. Every mandatary that has cared for anyone but the multinational enterprises that keep the world's money running has ended up dead)
