i just dont understand boys... im in desperate need of help!!

ok well
there is this boy who i met last year when i moved, and i have liked him since the very first second i talked to him bc we have so much in comon. And he is the sweetest boy in our grade-(i go to a private school and there are only 33 8th grades). I really liked him, like really really liked him and we talked about every thing. then about 3 months ago my bff tells me to ask him out. I never asked a guy out before, so i said no, that was until she calls him and gives me the phone, and as soon as he answers i totally didnt want to, bc i never agree with asking him out. But i had no clue what to do so i did. He said no. I am still not over him. and worse of all he like wont talk to me, like we did. idk what to do!!! please help me..
