Since when is being a virgin bad? [Rant..]

Alright..
I'm in a rant-y kind of mood..
and I was thinking about this subject,
so hey, why not rant about it?

I'll admit, proudly, that I'm a virgin.
Yeah, I have a boyfriend three years older than me..
and I love him.
However, that doesnt mean I'm gonna jump into bed with him..

I've always been happy that I'm a virgin,
and I still dont understand why thirteen/fourteen/fifteen year old kids are having sex.

I'm not trying to be all "Dont have sex! Its sooo bad! Its a sin! You're going to hell!"
If you wanna have sex, its your life...its your decision.

Howeverrr, the other day..
I was talking to this girl in my class [who has had sex with plentyyy of guys]
and she asked if I was a virgin
and I said yes..
and she laughed.

Because, being a virgin is so bad..?

I've always believed that sex is for a couple that loves eachother, and respects eachother..
and since I'm waiting to have sex, thats bad?

I told my boyfriend, atleast two years until I'll have sex with him..
Did he complain about it?
No. He respects my decision, and doesnt push it.

If I were to have sex with him now, how much respect do you think he'd have for me?
Not much, if any.

In my opinion:
If you dont want a baby, dont have sex.
If you're ready to raise a kid, go ahead...its your life.
I just dont get why you'd risk something like that...or something worse, like an STD.
