Do you journals ever even have a meaning anymore?

Its just something small that ive noticed when i come to this site...dont get me wrong, i love reading the journals that really shout out a point, but their are some things that really are pointless...i do seem to find it hard to write one hundred words of something that will really reach out to everyone...i am finding it extremelly hard to even complete this or even just quit..... maybe its because im not sure what people want to hear or if im putting something on thi site that can be considered spam or pointless

is their anyone else that shares the same thoughts or maybe something different?
