Can anyone truly get over their old lover?

Can anyone truly get over their old lover?
That's my number one question at this moment. I mean, if you honestly love someone how are you expected to just forget all about them and move on? And if they 'supposedly' loved you so much then how do they move on as well? I, personally, have not yet found a way to move on from my ex. It is slowly but surely being ignored, but I cannot deny the fact that I still love him. How I will move on from him, I have no idea, but I do know that I need to figure it out because when (and I know he will) he moves on, I don't want it to tear me up inside. I want to be the girl that is able to move on from him and date some other amazing guy.....but how? If anyone knows how you can move on from your ex then I give you a round-of-applause because your some lucky person.

So, again, can anyone truly get over their old lover?
