A Levels and the IB: help!

Okay: help.

At my school, we get the option to do either A levels or the International Baccalaureate for 6th form.. And while I'm leaning towards the IB, I'm still not sure which one I'm most suited to, and which one I'm going to do.

To be quite honest, I don't think I know enough about either one to make a proper, informed decision.

So, I'm wondering if anyone here has taken/is taking the IB?
What are your thoughts on it? Do you find that it takes up too much time?
