My Report To Change The World

Alright so we have to write a report on a controversial topic in my AP English II class and I decided to do mine on gay rights. i have friends that are homosexual so this topic sort of hits home for me. What really pushed my buttons, though, wasn't the fact that the topic wasn't on the sheet, only that questions arose from my fellow classmates over how I was going to write this paper and not sound as if I were of a differing sexual orientation. How is it that I can not stand up for what I believe in without being accused and criticized? Is there any hope for a social life after I write this paper? I AM NOT GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
