[3] You're Hot and You're Cold. IM IN! :D

Hey guys!

Onto the usual portion of the journal...

Listening To: Hot N' Cold (YouTube Live '08) - Katy Perry
Thinking About: How life works.
Thinking About Whom: My ex-crush. :D I can honestly say i'm over that person.

Onto the actual IMPORTANT stuff.
* * *

Apparently, my life this year has actually been pretty swell. (Did I say swell?)

I discovered who I was, sounds cheesy, but it's true. Uhm... the actual theme of the journal is my day today. << Just wanted to say the discovery.

Today I had a free day, because it was the first friday of the month, in this case being March. So, I slept until like... uhm...1 PM. :D I woke up and I logged on to my computer, I didn't really do anything productive. Just check facebook then mibbaz and leave. I remembered I had dance class today. I take Musical Theater. Basically, it's a thriple-threat class. Dance, Singing, Acting.

After I took a LONG bath ( For the record, I take long baths to relax, but it's not often) and took a long time to get ready. When i'm happy I start dancing to random music, I started dancing to Please Don't Stop The Music - Rihanna and When I Grow Up - PCD and sung to the delighfully absurd lyrics of Flyleaf's I'm So Sick. I love that woman's screams. :D

I waited for my mommy to pick me up and then we left to my dance academy. I brought some hankerchiefs for our dance class, because we're doing Oliver! as our summer production. Since the auditions, we we're told we would be thieves/pickpockets in the kind old man gang, Fagin. So, we needed to learn to be stealthy and sneaky. We learned how to crawl, hide from a target (or hide from a stalker if you we're the opposite), learn to take something from a person's pocket without noticing (in this case a hankerchief) and learn how to roll AND my favorite, EVADE INVISIBLE LASERS. EPIC! I copied Britney's moves from her Toxic vid, except for the backflip. xD

Then we went to singing class.We we're told, seperate from the audition, that the whole Junior division of the Musical Theater program would be the Workhouse Children in Oliver!, hence we needed to learn one song. Food, Glorious, Food. We studied the song, since we allready practiced for two weeks allready, and then the teacher did a partial audition for a soloist part. I wasn't really interested but I offered myself anyways. I didn't get picked. The class was finished and we went to my favorite class, ACTING!

We sat down in a circle and we remembered what we studied last week. Blah blah, we studied about Focus and Attention Spots, bla bla bla, we did a scene, bla bla bla. IMPORTANT PART: At the end of the class they put up the cast list for Oliver!, since the audition was held two weeks before. I got picked as... *drumrolls*

NOT ONE...

NOT TWO...

BUT THREE CHARACTERS!

I got chosen as, in the theater they say, one Exclusive Character ( a character with 4 or more lines) one General Character(s) (a group of characters who share the same role onstage) and one Exclusive-General Character(s) (a character in which shares the same role onstage, but has a solo song, or a solo part in a song)

Exclusive Character: Javier Padila - Customer on Page 58 (We all gotta start small)

I have two page worth's of lines. They haven't given me the script yet.

General Character: (I'm not gonna name them all since their like 45) Javier Padilla - Workhouse Children.

We all sing Food,Glorious,Food here and we never appear again I think.

Exclusive-General: Javier Padilla - Streetvendor (I share the role with like 5 or 6 people)

We five or 6 people sing "Who Will Buy?" and since i'm the only male voice, I have a solo part as a knives salesman, if i'm correct.
* * *

I'm pretty proud of myself! But i'm sad for my fellow dance-friends who didn't get parts, like my friend Nisa who only got two parts. I love you Nisa! *hugs Nisa* Don't worry hun, something better will come your way.

Also, i'd like to state out that I can't believe how life works. I mean, I was so depressed that I didn't get a clalback for the original character I auditioned for, Artful Dodger, and I was even thinking of quitting. Over the last week, I thought, "There aren't parts for EVERYONE, sooo... I won't get a part because I sucked and bla bla bla". BUT THEN, when I got three characters I started jumping up and down with Adriana, my other dance-friend, who got the same Exclusive-General Part as me. I almost cried. XD

Well, this journal has exceeded the lenght span in my POV, I've never written so LONG. :O

ANd now I leave you to ponder on the thought of how long my journals are AND how does the world work so swell, I said swell two times. :D

BYES!

~Jay
