12 or 200? How long is too long?

Hey everyone. So I love to write, right? And the thing is, I've seen so many other stories on this site, and some have double digit chapters, and some have triple digit chapters. Are there preferences here? Does anybody really like when stories are dragged on forever, or are shorter, more descriptive stories preferred? In general, yes, I know, it depends. But in general, is there a preference? I know that I can't remember the last time I read a really long story, by definition, more than about 20 chapters. But if the story's really good, would you read it, even if it was over 100 chapters long?

Let me know, cause I write to fulfill my imagination, and please my readers.
