First journal entry... read... please... ? !!! IMPORTANT !!!

Ok so technically I'm not exactly new to Mibba, but it still confuses the sht out of me and even though I've been a part of Mibba for a while now, I like just started posting stories, therefore in a way I am new.

I have a question and would appreciate it if someone answered it! [:

Ok, soo, my question...

How do you work the layouts??????

Now I have a premade one from Mibba, but I found another one that I liked on another layout site and I really wanted to use it. On the site, it says that I have to copy 2 codes, the CSS and the HTML. So, I copied and pasted the CSS code in the CSS spot and when I pressed Save Changes and the little preview of the profile came up my profile looked perfect with the new layout that I chose and all my info in it. Then I entered the HTML code into the HTML section and it saved successfully, BUT then when I went to the My Profile button at the top to see it, it didn't change and it was exactly the same premade layout as it was before!
I tried just pasting the CSS code and not HTML and vice versa, but it's still not working!.

So if you have any idea what you think it could be or have any tips or ANYTHING at all, PLEASE message me or comment on my profile because I would really like to know how to do it! [:

Also, for some of the layouts that I found, they work, but I can't'/don't know how to add my information in. So if you could explain tha to me too that would also be very helpful! [:
