A Simple Thing Can Make A Difference

today... some random lady totally made my lifetime.

I was running after practice [don't ask] and I stopped at a three-way corner because there were lots of cars. The lady was about to turn the corner, but then stopped (and almost caused a crash, mind you) and let the other guy go. Then she rolled down her window and pointed to the SIDS Walk shirt I was wearing and said "I just want to thank you for supporting that, because my son died a couple years ago from SIDS, and I'm glad that there are people out there participating to help these causes." and I was just like... amazed.

i actually made a difference for someone.

i originally went to one of these walks because my best friend, Liz
[----> over durr for le link], had a brother die from SIDS, but then I did it this year too because it's so sad to see how many babies have died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and how much money you can raise to find a cure just by helping organize one walk.

that's my life changing story.
