It no longer flows.

One word: Composition.

Usually I'm pretty good at it.
Note how I said "composition" not Songwriting.
Composition is a general thing... but yeah.. Songwriting= lyrics. i'm not up to that yet. When I finish my annoying pentantonic on black keys for solo piano, I will start writing the word setting.

My original idea was to have it on pentatonic scales because I wanted to write something traditional.
So I named the piece "you xi" which is a county in China where my mum came from. And the Xi is like a small river, so it's basically called You River.
River You.
Something like that.
Yeah.. it was a mother's day gift =D

I have a gorgeous theme, which no longer sounds like a river. and I have all these cool as scaley appedgio type things which don't really go.. so when it comes to structure.. I do have one. But the ... what do you call it? hmmm...
The Transition isn't all that great.

So now it sounds nothing like a river but just a random little tune which suddenly goes into all these massive scales.

Farrr outttttttt.....
Grade 6 theory there... idk what to do..
Transitions.. hmmm..
Modulation?

eh.

Variation I can do.. Ornamentation is a bit strange because it's not really... classical you know?
But it's still worth a shot.
Augmentation or Diminution?? uhghghghghg...

To be completely honest. {keyword: HONEST, not Critical}
It sounds like blocks being shoved together... it's just not SMOOTH.

eweeekkk.
