Writing.

This is my opinion, and if you have a problem with it, you can just keep it to yourself.

Anyhow, this isn't a stab at any specific person, just something I noticed. It kind of bothers me when people have characters in story with mental disabilities/stutters/other speech impediments and include in the dialogue the way it sounds when they talk. I mean, if the character is well developed, the reader will be able to assume the way the person is meant to talk, or otherwise it doesn't matter to them.

*(adding speech the way it sounds also causes it to be harder to read and often includes incorrect grammar, which is something that really gets on my nerves.)

Also, I'm not saying it bothers me if something occasional is thrown in like if someone gets scared and stutters because that steps out of their original character that would normally not stutter.

I mean, they aren't my stories and people can write their stories the way they would like to, regardless of my input, I'm just saying, I would not choose to do the same.
