Heartbroken....

I swear yesterday was the worst day of my life....so to let you all in i'll give you a summery of what has happened. So i felt i need a break from my boyfriend. we were getting into fights non-stop. That was just this last saturday, Then yesterday i found out from my best friend that my ex is dating one of my friends....they started dating three days after we had broken up. And she knew that i still loved him. So i guess the question is do i have a right to be heartbroken? i mean i am the one that broke it off and told him that we need a break.
