Infidelity

What is infidelity? Does it have a different meaning to everyone? When your boyfriend checks out another girl, is that infidelity? Or maybe when he sleeps with that said girl, is that infidelity?

To me, it seems, everyone has their own definiton of infidelity. To me, infidelity is betraying someones trust- like messing around with another person. No accidents are considered, because if they really cared then they wouldn't have done it in the first place, would they?

Here are the definitions of infidelity from dictionary.com:
1. marital disloyalty, adultery
2. unfaithfulness, disloyalty
3. lack of religious faith
4. a breach of trust or a disloyal act: trangression

Those are the definitons. Any of them ring a bell in your head? To me, the third definition seems irrelivant, but the first, second, and fourth hit the nail on the head. Has anyone ever been cheated on? Lied to? Hurt? Abused?

Infidelity is laced into our everyday lives. Someone trusts us to do a task, and then we don't fufill that said task, that's lying, isn't it? Infidelity.

My point is, it that everyone commits the crime of infidelity. No one is as clean or as sacred as they seem these days. Be on the look out!
