Of Consenting Age

I'mma little scared for highschool. First year being there. Spending four years there. Then it's like, your off to collage. Homecoming, Prom, football games. It's all like.. surreal to me. I'm scared because everyone changes supposedly. I don't wanna change unless it's for the better. People might forget who I am, and that's actually pretty hard to do. I know I won't lose Kelly, but like. What about everyone else? I'm just a tiny stressed, you know? I'm nervous but won't admit to it. Excited. Worried that I'll end up getting lost, or even shoved in a locker, or pushed down a flight of stairs. Is Highschool really that bad? Or are those just flittering rumours that people use to scare the upcoming freshman?
