Kill Your Friends

I was moved just now and compelled to write from the heart of my arse on the matter. Carl once said, of Peter, "there was a time, when I very, very nearly, to be closer to him, started doing full on heroin."

Whether or not Carl's words have been manipulated isn't really the point here. That idea of degradation, of swimming around in filth and leaving train tracks on your arms - all that, for someone else...the mind bogles at how humans communicate with one another.

There are few people for whom I would do smack, simply to be closer to them. Either my relationships, correction, friendships are healthier or lack intensity.

Irvine Welsh has a new book coming out. I can't wait for that. Also discovered a book called Kill Your Friends. Only time will tell whether or not it's good / me reading it.
